ElectALMA | Electrification

ElectALMA electrification design covers all centres, electric outlets, connection spaces and other electrification data of a facility. Comprehensive libraries and automated functions for examination and creation of connections are at the designers’ disposal.

Duplication of design data, editing of tables, creation of several positions at a single go, and the option of remote control enhance the efficiency of design. The efficiency of the ElectALMA design system is emphasized further in multi-user environments, where ready-made solutions and solutions emerging in the course of design are in common use.

With the help of ElectALMA, the designer can:

FieldALMA | Field Instrumentation

FieldALMA covers all circuits, devices, connection spaces, and field data. Automation design data can be used to generate reports that can be modified or used as layouts for subsequent design.

Data created in the course of projects can be utilised in upkeep, automation modifications, and new projects. When the design is done based on a database, it is easy to launch new projects and make changes to the existing ones. The database is also instantly available to the maintenance crew.

ALMA® follows the principle of “Once only data capture”. Data are stored in a database only once and data modifications are updated everywhere as soon as the user clicks the OK button.

With the help of FieldALMA, the automation designer can:

Since automation circuits are very similar, ALMA® brings significant time savings to a designer. It can be used to duplicate a circuit in full, with all the components and electrical connections. The designer only adds tag numbers and process data to the circuit. This can save up to 80% of the designer’s time.


Application and system engineering


FieldALMA and ElectALMA include highly parameterized functions for supplier-independent system engineering. Through parameterized links, this information is connected to the automationsupplier’s tools.

This means that when field instrumentation engineering is carried out, the needs for system engineering are satisfied at the same time – by specifying standard alarm groups, execution cycles etc.

Application engineering allows the user to:

·         Select the application type for loops

·         Add information concerning the specific application

·         Generate application diagrams

·         Add interconnections and make other modifications to generate diagrams, when needed

·         Update diagrams later using links between the diagram and database.

Pre-design and conceptual engineering for automation and electrification
